FRIDAY 6/8:

General Events:

• Carousel Park Farmers Market (Rt. 7 in Pike Creek), Fridays 2-6pm. Thru late Sept.
• Kennett Square Farmers Market. At the main intersection in Kennett. Fridays, 2-6pm.
• ART IS SOCIAL event at Delaware Art Museum.  Kick off summer with a beer garden party in the sculpture garden (bring your own lawn chairs/ blankets).  Music by singer/songwriter Jesse Ruben. $1-$4 beer & wine, 8-11pm, $5 cover. Facebook invite link - may have to pre-register.
• Showings of Chely Wright: Wish Me Away and Damsels in Distress at Theatre N. http://www.theatern.org/Films

Concerts:

• The Bouncing Souls record release show at the Trocadero, with Cheap Girls. $20.
• Jonathan Richman at Union Transfer. All ages.
• West Philadelphia Orchestra at Johnny Brenda's.

General Events:

• Beach: Lewes Farmers Market, 8-noon. In historic area, thru late Sept.
• Showings of Chely Wright: Wish Me Away and Damsels In Distress at Theatre N. http://www.theatern.org/Films

Concerts:

• Shady Grove Music Fest in Arden, outside of Gild Hall. Featured bands: Deadbeatz, Still Moon Servants, Alycats, Spontaneous Underground, The Bullets, The Paper Janes, The Keefs, and Bullbuckers. Noon-9, $15-$20.
• Jazz jam session at The Nomad Bar at 9th & Orange.  Every Saturday, 4-7:30pm, FREE.
• Blood Feathers and Saint James and the Apostles at Johnny Brendas.

• Showings of Chely Wright: Wish Me Away, Damsels In Distress, and I Vespri Siciliani (taped opera performance) at Theatre N. http://www.theatern.org/Films

Concerts:

• The Cult with Against Me! at the Electric Factory.
• "Reggae in the Park" at the Mann Center, Philly's first annual reggae festival. Featuring Jimmy Cliff, Beres Hammond, Luciano, Trevor Hall, and more.
• Ceremony and Screaming Females at First Unitarian Church. All ages.
