~In Philly~
  • Aaron Neville plays a free noon concert at World Cafe Live Philly. 
  • The (3rd?) annual Philly Opry at Johnny Brenda's with Birdie Busch and her new cd, string band Joy Kills Sorrow, and Jason Loughlin, a slide guitar wiz from Brooklyn.  $12-$15
  • G. Love & Special Sauce at the TLA, $25.

General Events:
  • Showings at Theatre N: How to Survive a Plague and Struck By Lightning. http://www.theatern.org/Films
  • Jazz jam session at The Nomad Bar at 9th & Orange. Every Saturday, 4-7:30pm, FREE.
Concerts:
  • Local line-up at Arden Gild Hall, and a cheap way to see a show at this very charming, former-dairy-barn historic venue: Spokey Speaky, Mallory Square, and Villains Like You.  $10
  • Blood, Sweat & Tears at the Grand Opera House. $32-$40
  • Vinyl Shockley (cd release show, I think) and Find Vienna at the Queen. $10

  • Soundgarden is sold-out at the Tower Theatre.
