Monday 12/19:

  • Cartoon Christmas Trio (performing Vince Guaraldi 'Peanuts' classics, and more) at Newark's Iron Hill Brewpub. 7-9pm. FREE.  Can't make it?  They're playing all week at different Iron Hills (Irons Hill?) - see the rest of my calendar.
  • Movie Monday at the Kennett Flash: It's A Wonderful Life. Free, donations encouraged. Doors at 7pm, show at 7:30.
  • Monday night football at Theatre N: Steelers vs. 49ers.  8:30pm, FREE.
  • Movie Monday at the Trocadero: Die Hard.  21+, $3.  Doors at 6:30, show at 8, arrive before 7 and get a free beer and popcorn.
  • Benefit for Maxx Stoyanoff-Williams, lead singer of Philly's Black Landlord (who have also played in Wilmington, if I'm not mistaken).  He recently spent a month in the hospital, while uninsured, and needs help with his sky-high medical bills. Place: The Standard Tap (Northern Liberties gastropub owned by the Johnny Brenda's people), 4-7pm. Facebook invite page.

Tuesday 12/20:
  • It's ye olde Tuesday "nothin' doing".  You and I both probably have last minute shopping to do, anyway.
  • Wait!  I found something: Cartoon Christmas Trio at the Iron Hill in Lancaster.  I didn't even know there was one in Lancaster.  Says the band: "The Amish are scared of Jackie Browne" (the drummer in the trio, also a long-time local percussion teacher).  I can believe it.  Dude is intense.  7-9pm.  FREE
