General Events:
  • Art is Tasty: a noontime discussion of one work of art at the Delaware Art Museum, with lunch included in price of $10 ($8 for members).  This time the half hour talk will be on Edward Hopper's 'Summertime'.  More info here.
  • First Friday Art Loop / Art on the Town, Wilmington. 5-9pm, various locations throughout city. More info here.
  • Carousel Park Farmers' Market (Rt. 7 in Pike Creek), Fridays 2-6pm. Thru late Sept.
  • Showings of First Position and Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog at Theatre N. http://www.theatern.org/Films
Concerts:
  • Mean Lady at Space Boy Clothing in LoMa.
  • Wilmington's New Sweden at the Hard Rock Cafe in Philly.
  • Meshell Ndegeocello at the Queen.

  • Ice Cream Festival at the Rockwood Museum in N. Wilmington. Starts at 11am.
  • Opening day for the Winterthur Farm Stand. 9-1pm every Saturday, on the side of Rt. 52.
  • Saturday bluegrass jams at Woodside Creamery near Hockessin/Pike Creek. 1-5pm each Saturday, weather permitting. Free.
  • Beach: Lewes Farmers' Market, 8-noon. In historic area, thru late Sept.
  • Showings of First Position and Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog at Theatre N. http://www.theatern.org/Films
Concerts:
  • The Romantics at the Queen.  Also at the Queen: late night ice cream social.
  • Hoots & Hellmouth play a free show at Morgans Pier in Philly.
  • Jazz jam session at The Nomad Bar at 9th & Orange. Every Saturday, 4-7:30pm, FREE.
  • The Dirty Heads play a free show at Piazza at Schmidt's.
