Weekday events, 9/10-9/13:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Monday 9/10:
  • Showing at Theatre N: The Story of Film: An Odyssey. Parts 1 & 2. 7pm, $7. This is a 15 part series - you also have the option of buying a pass to all 15 parts, for $40, or $30 for students and seniors.  The other episodes will be shown on subsequent Monday nights. More info.
  • Board game night and Quizzo at the Queen. 7pm, free.  Their description:
    • "Starting at 7 PM each Monday night, bring your own board games (we have plenty too), grab a bite in Upstairs Live and play with friends… or complete strangers! While you’re Scrabbling, Monopolizing, Operating and Trivial Pursuiting, we’ll be hosting Quizzo at the Queen near the bar. Quizzo prizes include show tickets, WCL swag, musician meet and greets and tons of other cool stuff! What better way to spend a Monday night?"
  • Class on edible plants (both wild and domesticated) at Delaware Center for Horticulture.  Learn to identify, as well as prepare in meals. Led by a Longwood grad student. 6-7pm at the DCH, $10-$15. More info.
  • Sondre Lerche at WCL Philly. $15. Ticket link.
  • Azure Ray at First Unitarian Church. $15. Ticket link.
  • Amanda Palmer at the TLA. $25. Ticket link.
  • Bob Weir at the Tower Theatre. $25-$55. Ticket link.
  • Movie Monday at the Trocadero: Fight Club.  21+, $3.  Doors at 6:30, show at 8, arrive before 7 and get a free beer and popcorn. This is one of those movies everybody loves except me.  I think that, like The Crow before it, it's an over-stylized film, about people with little in common with real humans, that's designed to make the viewer feel like they're part of a life that's more exciting than their own.  It was entertaining, I'll give it that, but way over-rated.
  • Note: the Pentatonix show at Union Transfer is sold-out.
