Tuesday 4/24:
  • Correction: This showing has been moved to Tuesday May 1st.  One-time-only showing of multi-award-winning modern silent film The Artist, at Theatre N.
  • Yann Tiersen at the Queen Theatre (also playing at Union Transfer on Thursday, but I'd support the local venue first, if possible).
  • Yoga & craft beer at the Queen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wednesday 4/25:
  • Happy Birthday to someone very special to this blogger.
  • Kathleen Edwards at the Queen.
  • 4W5 Blues Jam at the Queen. 7pm, free.
  • Raekwon of Wu Tang at The Blockley.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thursday 4/26:
  • Karaoke at Mojo Main. 9pm, free
  • Thursday noon concert at the church on Rodney Square & 11th St.: this one's for opera fans, with a preview of Opera Delaware's Porgy & Bess
  • A documentary about pit bull breed discrimination at Theatre N. Okay, here I must express an unpopular opinion.  I'm not against pit bulls, rottweilers, and other so-called dangerous breeds, but I often think that the people defending their reputations doth protest too much.  There's an out-and-out denial there of any issue with the dogs except for ones with "bad owners".  I don't dislike pit bulls, german shepherds, rottweilers, and dobermans, but I am slightly more cautious around them than other dogs, no matter how nice an owner they have.  That's just prudent.  There needs to be a middle ground between people saying they're all dangerous, and people saying they're not dangerous at all except for the ones mis-raised.  Neither side is correct.
  • Yann Tiersen at Union Transfer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Upcoming: George Clinton at the Queen on 5/2.
