Weekday events of note, 4/9-4/12:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Monday 4/9:
  • Grilled cheese & craft beer tasting at the Queen Theatre, with musical performance by Sean Hoots of Hoots & Hellmouth (this would be the unmistakeable red-headed dude), 6pm. (In the past, this was an occasional weekend event that usually sold out in advance.  Now I see that they're doing this at least two Mondays in a row, so I suppose popularity has dictated increased repetition.  People love their grilled cheese and beer).
  • Movie Monday at the Trocadero: The Sitter.  21+, $3.  Doors at 6:30, show at 8, arrive before 7 and get a free beer and popcorn.
  • Nada Surf with An Horse at the TLA.
  • Mastodon and Opeth at the Electric Factory.
Tuesday 4/10:
  • One-time-only showing of critically-acclaimed The Iron Lady (Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher) at Theatre N. 7pm. http://www.theatern.org/Films
  • "Cocktails & Conversation" at the DCCA, this time with a lecture on mid-century design giants Charles and Ray Eames (you've seen their iconic leather-and-molded-plywood Eames lounger in almost every tv show ever made, and many movies). DCCA on the riverfront, 5:30-7pm. $10 members, $15 non-members. Signature cocktails included. http://www.dcca.org/
  • This time, it's not 'grilled cheese', but Yoga and craft beer tasting at the Queen.  Because there's nothing Delawareans like so much as pairing anything, anything at all, with alcohol.  Tomorrow: Doing your taxes and craft beer tasting.
  • Chelsea Crowell (daughter of Roseanne Cash, granddaughter of Johnny Cash) at Mojo Main, with Arden's Kalai King.
  • Chamber music via the Delaware Symphony, at the Hotel duPont.
  • The Snow Patrol show at the Electric Factory is sold-out.
