Monday 4/2:

  • Of Montreal at Union Transfer, with Loney Dear and Kishi Bashi (solo violinist who also plays with Sondre Lerche, Of Montreal and Regina Spektor. Dude's chops are scary). All ages, 8:30pm, $20.
  • Movie Monday at the Trocadero: 2010's Hesher.  21+, $3.  Doors at 6:30, show at 8, arrive before 7 and get a free beer and popcorn.

Tuesday 4/3:
  • Country fans: Shelby Lynne at the Queen Theatre. Ticket link.
  • Wild Flag (feat. Carrie Brownstein of Portlandia and Sleater Kinney) at the Trocadero, with Hospitality and locals Blood Feathers. $20+. Ticket link.
  • Real Estate with The Twerps at First Unitarian Church. All ages, 8pm, $14+.

Wednesday 4/4:
  • School of Seven Bells with Exitmusic at Johnny Brenda's. 21+, 9pm, $13.
  • 4W5 Blues Jam at the Queen. 7pm, free.
  • Free show Wednesdays at Mojo Main, with a rotating cast of local up-and-comers, the names of which are posted weekly here: http://www.mojomain.com/calendar . 21+, 9pm, no cover. 
  • The Awesome Fest (who put on shows and movies throughout the year in Philly) presents the apparently high-camp movie Juan Of The Dead, in Spanish with English subtitles. $8, 8pm, 21+.

Thursday 4/5:
  • Showing of Color Me Obsessed: A Film About the Replacements at Theatre N. 7pm.
  • A night of karaoke, comedy, and live music at Mojo Main. $5, 9pm.
  • Cursive at Union Transfer with Cymbals Eat Guitars and, for the token common-pluralized-noun-for-a-name opener, Conduits. All ages, 8:30pm, $15.
  • Frankie Rose (formerly of Vivian Girls, Dum Dum Girls, and Crystal Stilts) at the North Star Bar.
  • Karaoke at Mojo Main. 9pm, free
